Seems reasonable, 1Gb disc space, 20Gb transfer not bandwidth BTW. Bandwidth is something hosts don't tell you about until they think you are using too much.

I'd be a bit concerned about having a forum on a 20G transfer limit, depending on how busy it is and what the members are allowed to do,You could soon eat into 20G /M if they are allowed image signatures and largish file uploads.

A reasonable point... but how many hosting providers will allow you to use the full transfer limit in conjunction with something typically fairly resource heavy like a forum?

I suggest you not to be so confident in choosing hosting company, because the comparison research will be effective and it will open your eyes on the honest company which you can rely on. Just because you haven't heard of a hosting company does not make them "bad", unreliable, or to be avoided.

I've got a client who uses 4uhosting and they seem perfectly ok. Support and uptime has always been good and I can't ever remember him having any major issues with them.

I have never heard about web hosting company you have mentored above, I recommend you do search on google or on the WHT. I'm sure this couple have little bit more information of them then each of us.

They provide expensive hosting, I think american companies provide cheaper service. Or the location is principal? Reg a domain in co.uk and host site anywhere - it will be accessible for your customers. Look up such companies as Hostgator, Bluehost, DreamHost, gazzin.com, Rackspace.com.

They are popular among customers and are really cheaper.

Yes you are right here. US located companies are cheaper then UK web hosts, but if he needs UK host I think that he should go with UK host. Sometimes people prefer to have web hosting account in their neighborhood.
