Hi, I'm going to need some help on this one.

I'm looking for a hosting company that offers a set space (.5 GB, for example). On that space I should be able to host as many URLs as I want, have as many MySQL dbs and mailboxes as I can fit, etc. I should also be able to telnet to it and admin the account (for example, to set .htacces files, etc.).

Does such a thing exist? it would be the closes you can get to having your own server, right?

Hello-

What you are looking for is called "Bulk Reselling". Many hosting companies offer this. A few are good, many are bad.

You have the ability to create hosting plans, create/terminate/modify accounts, modify passwords, edit DNS zones, etc.

For example, take a look at http://resellersplus.com/ . We are not affiliated with this host in any way. However, I know the owner and his reputation, plus his servers are in the same datacenter as ours.

I'm hosting with BishopDigital.com and have 17 domains on my account for no extra charge. Even though all my domains are pointed to my main site I can make a different website on each url if I want to. I've been with them for about a year now and have had no problems. I'm not a very technical person but I think they offer everything you asked for.
