I was with Bluehost for two years. It would take nothing short of a novel to begin to write about all the problems I had with them.

It is another bait and switch marketing tactic Bluehost uses to get you in the door. They advertise you can have 2500 email accounts. But they don't tell you that you start out with a cap of 50 emails/hour for your entire account. They may up the limit to 500 emails/hour if you beg technical support. Bluehost may also have given you the boot for using too many resources (in this case relating to email) Here is one example.

By the way I had two different accounts with Bluehost where the email did not ever work right.

I really wouldn't recommend either as both are massive oversellers.

Having said that, though, it seems hostgator has a better reputation among the massive oversellers, but you do have to watch your cpu usage and your inodes with them. They have very strict policies.

You're confusing Hostgator with Hostmonster.

Thanks for the advice.
In the end I decided to go with HostGator, and I am very happy with them so far.

As far my research goes in case of Blue Host :

1. they offer only one hosting Plan with unlimited Domains, Disk Space and Bandwidth.

2. They Provide Hosting only on Linux Platform

3.Control Panel : cPanel with only one Login

4.
You can have only 1 dedicated IP with one package and for additional you will have to buy another package

Before finalizing on a Web Hosting Company you would also want to know as to how popular they are in the market, so while browsing the net I came across this site www.webhosting.info according to which their Market Share is 0.6 % .

You guys can check their total Domains, Market Share.... etc from
http://www.webhosting.info/webhosts/...s/BLUEHOST.COM

I have got a shared hosting account with Hostgator. I should say it is good except for the inode and CPU resources limitations. Also their support is good but at times, according to many people, you get to talk to those whose first language is not English. Overall, their hosting service is good.

Don't know much about Bluehost, I have never used them. But from what I read on forums both companies are good.

I will recommend hostgator. I am using their service from past few months and quite satisfy with them. Although I have tried Godaddy first but was not satisfy and they do not have Cpanel as well.

Go for Hostgator.
