I have a few websites hosted on SiteGround (yes I know they have bad rep), but I am getting a strange problem

On the websites I have hosted (see my sig for one) I keep on getting Network Timeouts (Firefox), or Cannot Find Server (IE) messages every so often. I wait a minute, and bam the website is back and running.

Now, I have asked users of the webiste if they are having the same issues, and it appears only I am. It doesn't matter what computer I am on in my house I have the same issue.

Now I have checked the server status and it's always OK, and I contacted SiteGround and they said they can't find a problem there end either

It's only my sites on the whole web that seem to be affected

My email is also receiving mails properly either as it appears it has the same issue with connectivity.

I also have the problem with my website, maybe its your internet connetion? but im hosting by hostedfx so its probably not the hosts problem

when it's "down" - go through a proxy to access it. If that doesn't work, then it's a problem with your host - if it does, it's a problem with your own network.

I tried a proxy and it worked. SO I don't think it's a problem with my host. it's just that it's affected my sites on this specific account, and I have no idea how to solve it

Does your internet work during these periods? Are you able to access other sites?

Yep, everything works fine except the sites on that specific account with my host. ANd it appears that only I encounter this problem!

Reset your router, and try to flush out your DNS cache. That could be causing your problem.

If other people do not have any problem with your web site load I would say that problem is with your ISP or even with IE you are using.

Given the circumstances, I'd contact my ISP and complain about the timeouts. A traceroute done when you're having trouble reaching the sites might help them pinpoint the cause.

Yes, aside from internet connection, you could also try to reset your browsers to default..or clearing the cache as well..

You should have some sort of website monitor program set up if you are concerned about the performance of your hosting company. Their are several free ones but they do not check your site that often.

If the problem is with your ISP - you will not be able to see any web site and you will realize that. If you do not see only your own web site and see others - ask people on forums to get there and see how it works
