filezilla for windows is the best.. been using it for a very long time and never had the problem.

Cyberduck or mac is one i currently use. No issues.

smartftp is good

When it comes to FTP Clients you can consider Free FTP clients rather then Paid FTP Clients. Free software in this category doesn't have any strings attach because most of them is under GPL agreement so that can assure you of quality software. Best things in this world are free. Use FileZilla.

You are right and I agree with you and if someone wants to pay for the application that is his right.
I agree better use something open source then pay for the same thing.

I have tried Jacsoft Secure FTP and it works pretty well I see no benefit of a paid client though.
