Just wonder how cheap can web hosting be. What is the cheapest web hosting plan you have encountered? Maybe you can post here for people like me looking for dirt cheap webhosting. I have seen hosting plan 0.50usd per month before. Anywhere cheaper than that?

Do you think they can provide good service? There is a common saying in hosting industry that 'you will get what you pay for'.

I have good luck with 1and1 and the price was really good. I can't remember off hand how much, but for what I need with the website I was doing, it was perfect.

Not true. There support has to be knowlegeable if you have a problem.

The server could be up... but it sure can be SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW and crowded! Be careful what you buy, and waste your time with.

If you are serious about your website(s) you should NOT be looking for the cheapest hosting.
Shopping around for cheaper hosting that will hopefully provide a quality service maybe, but by being a cheapskate and selecting hosting on price alone will not benefit you in the long term.

It seems a bit difficult to get IMHO. Go for reasonable resources that has a reasonable price. It may give better hosting experiences rather than selecting a 'dirt cheap webhosting'. Any way it is all up to you and I am expressing my point of view only.

If it were me i would not look for the cheapest hosting either,
you will always want to look for helpful and courteous support, as well as a very fast server and great uptime.

Spent $4.95. It's not the cheapest but it's cheap enough on what it offers. It's really good, does not give me any problems at all.

Anywhere cheaper than that?

I suppose that is free web hosting and you can have that with no problem

The better question would be to ask your self what your budget is and look for a reliable host in that range. There are many hosting coupons around the web. Just remember you get what you pay for. Good luck in your search.

FYI In your hostrea site, the top animated image with quotes has a typo in it.

OP: Do not go with the cheapest hosting you can find. Find something based on it's features and renown instead of it's price.

Hosting can be as cheap as nothing.
But if you expect a quality commodity, you should know it can't be taken out of nowhere. That's a universal law. In the hosting industry the price of a hosting plan is about the amount of quality support that can possibly be offered to clients by the number of IT technicians that this company can afford.
