Hey every one,

I just checked my website and it wouldnt load so i went to Hostgator to contact them and their website is also down?

Should i be worried? because i am lol.

Does anyone know anything about this? Is anyone else using Hostgator? do you sites work?

Please can someone tell me if this link is working for them

I was just searching for the SAME thing!!! I tried googling but no luck! I was just about to post something here!

This stinks because I am expecting emails and my sites are down too. I really push that hosting on my clients too because I love it...um...up til today!

With all fairness, all the Yahoo small business hosting bashing I have done I can honestly say at least my sites were never down this long!

Lets hope for the best!

Thanks for your reply man i thought i was on my own!

I also recommend them on other web master forums and its almost embarising.

This is the first time its happened since i have been with them, lets hope it gets better soon.

I understand every host goes down from time to time, its only been about 30 minutes hasnt it?

I suppose that any web hosting provider could have some temporary issues. Sometimes your ISP might have them.

ThePlanet, their upstream provider, has a rooting issue, resulting in a ~25 minutes downtime for some of HG's customers.

25 minutes that is not huge. I have seen this topic on other forums as well. During that period of time you couldn't lose much

I am also using the hostgator hosting for my site and i have never faced any problem with loading!
May be some times,its happens for a little bit of time but they will recover the problem soon!
Most of people now a days are using hostgator hosting!

It's rare to see such mass outages from a big web host like the planet, usually it just impacts a server or two. Oh well, they are back we lived

the unlimited package at HostGator Is of about $7.98/mo and it is not good

Where as on my current hosting provider its only $1.99/mo and every thing is the same

i have used both and i suggest to use HostSuit thumps up 4 it

page load is too slow for hostsuit... compare to hostgator... Even the price has discrepancy the quality of service is still to consider... Hostgator still rocks...

Yeah this is the only time my website has been down, Hostgator really is so reliable and their customer service is so good!

Industry standard uptime is 99.99999 percent of the time - so when hostgator says 99.9 don't think you're getting a deal. 25 minutes of downtime is a bad thing. I host with them, although I just hopped on so I haven't had any problems. Hopefully this doesn't happen again. The sites I host wouldn't be hit hard by a half hour of down time, but just think if it was an ecommerce site with a lot of business. Half hour of down time = big loss.

Yeah it is a big deal. That was the first time they ever went down and it seemed to be a major problem because their website didn't even work. Yeah if I had a ecommerce business during that I would be grinding my teeth lol.

I would rather have a rare ocation like that than on and off all the time.
