Hey Im thinking of buying reseller hosting and am wondering what unlimited domains actually is. Im going to go with host gator, and they offer unlimited domains just like any other reseller, but what does that actually mean? Does that mean I can make as many .com's as I was with no restrictions? There has to be some sort of catch right?

Well, thats good that you are going with hostgator as they are the best.
And they say unlimited. but don't know what exactly they allow.

I means there is no limit on the number of domains (.com .net etc) that you can host. "making" or registering a domain is a different thing, and there is (for .com) a real unavoidable cost of about $7 per domain. No reseller account out there means to say that you can register an unlimited number of domains for a fixed cost.

So that means that I pay the 25 a month or whatever, then pay an additional $7 each domain? Thats $7 and thats it, not per year or anything like that?

No, you have to register the domains separately. The $7 cost is yearly, and it is not the selling price. Most registrars register domains at about $10 per year.

Yes some of the domain nem registrars giving away huge discounts for different domain names

I assume that new registrars always give you good discount.

Not new. It seems that every domain name registrar is sharing their coupons nowadays

Unlimited domains require more resources to be availiable, anв also I'd like to say that HG, is IMO far no the best company for getting a reseller from.

I may recommend you dayana host (small, but stable and inexpensive full-featured host) or something like strikedata.com - low cost and prospective provider with goood support, which is important for resellers.

Till now I have seen only one which provides new .com domains in just $4.99.

Just for your information: that is supposed to the price for the first year only and in a year you will need to pay more. So make sure how much

it means that you can link unlimited domains as just purchase a domain and add it in your reseller account for you Clint

in other worlds you can make unlimited clients
some allow you 50 or some 100 and also as hostgator some unlimited but it dose not mean that now you can register new domains it means you can host unlimited with your resseller

Been with Hostgator for years as a reseller, by far the very best bar-none.

Unlimited domain hosting means you can host as many domains as you want.
You must purchase the domain names from somewhere such as godaddy.com.
The downside (or catch) to an unlimited reseller account is that you are alloted only so much space in which to host domains.
