OK, I'm thinking over a new idea for a site, and basically it would be a webhosting search site, much like www.hostsearch.com or www.hostindex.com.

I know this is a crowded market so what I really want to do is make my site unique. The main feature is that it will be totally impartial (with a complex ranking system (like Google's) to make sure hosts are fairly recommended).

Now here's where you all come in . Basically, I'd like to hear from anyone/everyone as to what they would like to see on a hosting search site. What sort of features would you like to have available? What sort of information would you like provided?

I'd like to hear from both hosts and consumers, so if you have any comments, please post here or PM me.

I would like to now the bandwith, storage, # of email accounts, packages, prices, and their security info. I know there's more stuff, but I can't think of it right now.

Non-advertiser based ... but based on comission that they earn if they send us any sales.

Its clean, fast, and has great info ... including host up-time.

You know how when you're looking at something like a price range and you have one drop-down box? It would be great if you had two, one for the minimum and one for the maximum. The last time I went looking for a host I wanted to look between $5 and $15 per month. I had to do two searches (one for $5-$10 and one for $10-$20) to be sure I got everybody.

A UK area,....alot of em all seem to be based on the US ...never find a "Between £10>£25" etc

You don't happen to know of any web host directory scripts do you? I found a link to one but the page was gone.
