I bought a new domain name from Yahoo and want to transfer to my hosting company. What do i need to do? I already changed nameservers but im not sure what to do next. Should i just email the hosting company and ask them to transfer my cPanel?

Is your website currently at Yahoo and you want to move it to the new company? If both companies use cPanel then your new host can do the transfer for you. Otherwise you'll need to download all your files and re-upload them to your new host.

If all you need to do is move the domain and nothing else, then you should be all set by changing the nameservers.

You can stay with Yahoo as a domain registar and to point your domain elsewhere. Just change nameservers in the domain administration area.

You can also go to another registar and initiate domain transfer. They will transfer your domain from yahoo and you should be able to manage it an to point it anywhere you want.

Just choose one of these options.

Regards
D.
