Correct, Hostgator and godaddy oversell a lot so you can have random lagg and things like that go wrong but they do have really good support.

Byethost is good hosting provider but I always prefer hostgator for my shared hosting. They give me excellent support services. That's good for me...

I advice you to avoid godaddy. their servers are stable but one single mistake and they will take from you every thing and you'll have to pay much money to get them back.

check my story with them here

godaddy doesn't have live help which is vital if you have a critical problem and need fast action. also I sent to them before about problem in server that named and ftp hang sometimes. I could fix the problem temporarily by restarting the hanging services but it keep hanging again after some days. they replied the next day I sent to them saying they just couldn't figure it out because they need to check it while still hanging. How can I wait and keep things hanging and wait till they check it for me

If you have an important site, or would consider your online work important in anyway (Ex: E-commerce, forums, blogs, company site, etc) then your best bet is to get quality service.

I would say services like Hostgator and GoDaddy are subpar at best, while they work fine for many I wouldn't host a site on those servers that had a lot of use or was an important money making site for me. I'm actually in the process of finally migrating one of my sites away from Fatcow, as the service is too slow.

You get what you pay for in webhosting. Pay $3 a month, you can rest assured there are many people on that server and its probably oversold too much. This attributes to slow page loads, downtime, etc. Some companies manager their overselling much better than others, some don't. The fact GoDaddy doesn't have a standard ticket based support or live chat on their site, which seems to almost be industry standard now-days is shocking. I'll buy my domains using a coupon code everytime ($7.49 dot coms!), but wouldn't want to host a site their. And i've read too many horror stories about HostGator, so yeah..

I've hear nothing but good things about http://Innohosting.com , they offer great services and realistic packages. Chris and Rameen run the company and are very active on WebHostingTalk, quick to answer questions and they run a quality company. I'm in the process to get either a reseller or a VPS from them soon.

Good luck!

BYETHost was pretty good when I used the free edition of it. The only thing I hated about them was that my sites take too long to load. Otherwise they're good but I wouldn't pay for their hosting though.

Mot providers are willing to provide dedicated IPs to clients for a small monthly fee (usually $1-$3 per IP)

Thanks. In any case PR depend on uptime not on the kind of hosting you are using

Agreed. I hate their overselling but most of all their sluggishness. One second it will be speeding along fine and then another second it will be SO SLOW. I am not a big fan of their support either. They've gotten way too big.

^Reasons why I am not with them anymore.

On my scale of recommendation I think ByetHost is ok they not so good but they not bad either. The seem to be the free hosting provider for many free hosting company so I think they are reliable enough.

Here is some of the good host you should consider.

1. Hostgator - Good plan and reliable with lot of bonuses also if you search for their coupon you only have to pay 1 cent for your first month.
2. Hostbig - Plan starting at $1 a month
3. Justhost - Some people say justhost is better then hostgator but I think hostgator more popular in the eye of the user.
4. Webhostingworld - They also offer a $1 a month plan.
5. Godaddy - Very popular and reliable brand too.

Hope this information helpful to you.

There are good reviews about byethost. I can say that customers satisfaction varies depending on the expectations you have set with regard to web host. Just choose what is best for you, whether its byethost or bluehost or hostagator. The bottom line is you choose it because you understand its content and how it works
