If you doubt you can ask your web hosting for the guarantees. As far as I understand that is $15 per month so that is is not sooo cheap for the VPS I suppose

not if you only have 1 or 2 websites, but if you have 4 or more blogs each with their own private domains, it can start getting much cheaper to set them all up on one VPS.. Estimating that your hosting is $5.00 a month for each site if you just have basic sites, there are some good VPS services out there from $~25 - $30 which can handle many sites.

There maybe multiple reasons for cheap prices.It may be possible that the host is overselling or they have managed to crack a cheaper deal for the dedicated sever on which they have created the virtual servers,or even the dedicated server on which the VPS accounts are created are of low configuration. It would be better for you to get in touch with them and ask them about the server specs of the dedicated server on which the VPS's are created.Also ask them about the virtualization technique used to create virtual accounts,this too might be the reason for offering cheap VPS packages.

I deem you are talking about 2 different web hosting companies. As in one hand you have shared account and in another hand you have VPS account. I'm sure they are different companies and have different price policy and that's why you see the prices as if they are the same.

In theory, it could get quite close, if it was stripped of a main advantage/feature of VPS: guaranteed memory and CPU and relied on free software only. It would still retain root access, and thus be of special value to some customers.

That could be. That depends on the configuration of the VPs and features of the web hosting account you are trying to compare here.

Sometimes cheap doesn't mean quality. Hosting is like every other industry you get what you pay for. So many companies coming in for a few months and then closing their doors shortly after making a few sales. I would test out their sales and support response before buying anything. Best of luck.

This is really hard to find outstanding hosting but some below points could make difference.
1) Reliability
2) Instant support
3) cheaper than others but service is equivalent to others
4) Server Response

I see nothing strange in that as this company has provided quality services with a team of professionals who know how to make their services be online always.

A good VPS cannot be as cheap as a shared host package.
