Someone recently told me that using FTP is dangerous because it does not encrypt the username or passwords sent. I've heard the secure version of FTP called both FTPS and SFTP, I don't know which is correct, but is there a way to use it with FlashFXP?
Walking down the middle of a busy road is dangerous!
Playing with fire is dangerous!
Running with scissors is dangerous!
Juggling Elephants is dangerous!
Using ftp means there is a minuscule possibility (assuming some one is already monitoring your Internet connection) that your username and password may be compromised.
On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being most) it would rate at -100 of things that concern me.

Thought for today:- Is SEO the only industry where all the cowboys are Indians?
Sometimes your FTP can be hacked through the web site (scripts) holes. Much more important to keep all things in order on web site (have latest updates) instead just of worrying about FTP encryption
