Can you post your web space and bandwidth requiremenst. I think you will be able to find $2/mo but you can not expect to get a lot of space and monthly bandwidth.

Best Regards
D.

Yea, you can find $2/month if you don't need much space or don't mind poor uptime and service. And you can pretty much forget about support. Post your bandwidth/space requirements and we'll point you in the right direction.

There is a hosting plan on our site where the price is under $4 with control panel, support, MySQL, PHP and website builder. Please provide your requirements.

Onur, I'll hook you up with anything you need, no matter what the requirements. Our network is parterned with a hosting company, so I can get anything you need dirt cheap (yes, even for $2/month).

As for domains, go with 1and1.com... it's $5.99/year, and I've always found them to be reliable and helpful.

One of the things to consider when choosing a web host, is how long the company has been in business, as well as what kind of technical services they offer. Often times, hosts who are offering dirt cheap plans haven't been around long enough to learn that you can't earn a living off bottom-of-the barrel plans, unless you are overloading servers with users. If the latter is the case, then you can expect slow servers, and poor support.

You could do a search on some of the hosting directories:

As hypocritical as this is (considering I run a brand new hosting business that offers hosting for unusually low prices), generally speaking amish_geek is right. I've had bad luck with many cheap hosting companies... it took me a while to settle with the one I am currently parterned with, and whom I am reselling.

Basically what I'm saying is not to trust any low-cost host that you don't have a personal business relationship with. If it's a company that you honestly feel you can trust, go for it. But if it's just a little website that you happened to stumble across through a popup's popup, be wary.

I'd also tend to steer clear of any host that does not communicate in a proper, professional manner. If they are using 1337 speak or sms speak (using plz rather than please), it would most likely be safe to assume that your 'host' may have a curfew, and/or may not be able to do support because they are grounded from the computer when they fail to do all of their chores.
