Never heard of them, i would recommend singing up for like 1 month to give you a good understanding of their service.

I hate their file limits of 10,000. You know, a simple wordpress has more than 2,000 files. 10,000 is far from enough.

Have been using web hosting pad for over 4 months now. Have had no issues to write about really. Still not getting the stated 99.9% uptime, but I get an estimated 98.9 - 99.5% uptime on average. Personally I find this satisfactory. Particularly when considering the cost ($1.99 per month). This is great value for money in my opinion.

The only issue some may be concerned about with this host is response times. Now I dont know what other host's response times are but I average between 300 - 350 milliseconds (time to last byte). This seems quick enough for my needs but I'm sure many other host's are considerably faster.

All in all, for the price this is a great service. I am glad to say that my initial scepticism was wrong. $71, 4 + months gone, and still another 32 months to go!

I did not realise this untill I saw your post. I checked the terms and you are correct. This could be a problem for a some people. It is not a problem for me at this time however. I am highly unlikely to require more than 10,000 files for my present needs. I have one wordpress blog. All other sites are fairly small and are mostly stored on the host purely for testing purposes.

I don't think its a scam, the cost to host a site down is probably down to pennies. However, I would be against signing up for a multiyear hosting contract.

I am a former client of them and on the whole I was impressed. However they are oversellers and I decided to move on to a new host :P
