Has anybody got any experience with unlimited accounts? many companies are offering it, but what is really unlimited? Can it be real or it is just unreachable resource? Or it is just a gimmick?

If anyone knows about this feature in person, please let me know.

There is no such thing as unlimited. Period. It's strictly a marketing ploy and your potential provider will in effect slow traffic down so much that stuff won't load etc.

unlimited accounts is possible within the amount of resources they allocate for you. (i.e. here's 10GB host as many domains as you want). Unlimited resources on the other hand is physically impossible. As mentioned in other threads, companies who advertise "unlimited disk space" or "unlimited bandwidth" usually have some restriction written in their terms of service.

Unlimited accounts is about reseller web hosting and indeed they are limited by space and bandwidth.

If you have huge web site you need VPS. huge web site might use a lot of CPU and RAM and they are limited on the shared web hosting.

Nothing is unlimited, some things like add on domain & sub domain might be unlimited but if your are saying about bandwidth and disk space, nothing is unlimited you have to pay extra charges or hidden charges

You get what you pay for. If you get unlimited you should understand which kind of quality you should expect

I think you need to be realist to understand that is for the web project which requires cloud hosting shared unlimited account will not be enough at all.

Unlimited websites and domains can be but unmetered can be only bandwidth and webspace. When the company (proaxxs.net, for instance) provides such an offer, I trust it.

I believe each web host will place the same on own web site

You know all depends on the company you are using this unlimited account IMHO.

every company has physically limitation. to host much data u can take VPS plan...

before confirm with any company read terms and conditions of that website. there are written all those thing...

In my experience/opinion. Unlimited means Oversold.
