What is the most reliable Uk hosting co?

We currently host our websites on Streamline but a customer has just told us that a number of her emails from her customers are not getting through and some test emails she's done are not getting through.

She uses Streamline's own mail service - as opposed to a contact form forwarding emails to a different email service (which all of our other websites do).

Has anyone else experienced email problems?

Emails sent to her Streamline account are not getting through or can take a couple of days to get through.

We had one of our mail hosting clients last week were one of their clients were getting "bounces" from their provider.
Tracked down to a DNS cache error at their ISP.

I think you need to aks them about spam protection they are using. It could be the reason

streamline.net just another hosting provider that seems to pay more attention to advertising than to their customers.

Are you saying that the customer isn't receiving e-mails on streamline's mail service, or that another mail account (such as yahoo) isn't receiving e-mails from the streamline account?

If the contact forms are able to send outgoing mail, then the server should also be able to receive incoming e-mails. Maybe your clients e-mails are being marked as spam. Try looking into that. Is your client receiving any e-mails at all? In other words, are just a few missing?

I know sitepoint forums there are a lot of web hosting deals from UK web hosting companies. I believe you will be able find out something useful for you there.

Yep a hosting provider who's a reseller of Fa*thosts, say no more

This particular client has just - belatedly - phoned to say that her deleted/spam email box had become overfull and she thinks this might be the problem - altough she claims to have had problems in the past as well.

However, we will monitor email situation.
