I agree with you. In any way free web host may go away anytime without any notice.
That's why I recommend remember about backups and take care of them while using free web hosting services.

They then dto be the most reliable/ad free hosting service in my opinion

I use and offer free hosting which is powered by Byethost.

No forced advertising or any requirements whatsoever.

You get an Ivista panel which is similar to Cpanel along with the iVista script installer. The installer quickly installs Wordpress, Joomla, etc.

You can have 5 addon domains and 5 sub-domains.

Also included - 250 MB disk space, 6GB monthly transfer, password protected folders, FTP, Online file manager, 3 MySql databases, PHP MyAdmin, free support, POP mail, Web mail, and more.

I have been using this service for 4 domains for over 3 years with no regrets.

There is no such thing as free reliable, safe, secure web hosting. Are you crazy?!?!

I searched for years and I've lost data like crazy.
Finally went to paid hosting and the purchases were more worth it. The prices are so cheap now a days from sites like <removed> that you shouldn't even waste your time looking for free web hosting.

They (newbies) do believe in this web hosting. And they do spend a lot of time to find this web hosting.

000webhost is one of the best free host out there. They also provide proofs of their 99.9% uptime. One thing even big paid host havent been doing. They're worth a try
