iPage Hosting?

I think I am about to switch over to the iPage hosting services. I'm wondering if any of you know their reputation or how fast their server speed is. Looking at their Hosting Structure page, they sound fine. I've tried to look into what anyone else thinks of their service, and I haven't heard any negative thoughts. However, they do cater to the beginner web design crowd (which I guess I am still probably part of ).
I'm also looking into InMotion hosting, but they are a bit more than I was hoping for. For my website though, even though I'm looking to expand it, even if iPage isn't amazing it might be adequate for my site.
Any thoughts? Thanks!

If they provide money back guarantee I think that worth to give them a try.

Ya I'll try it and let you guys know how it goes. Any feedback about their service would still be helpful though!

Why don't google for their reviews?

I didn't use ipage, but I have experience with fatcow, which is a sister brand of theirs. Unfortunately, the server performance is really disappointing, with phpbb, wordpress and joomla newly installs taking 2-3 seconds to run. At other hosts, it takes a tenth of that.

You can't google this stuff or read web hosting reviews, because they are all based off the commissions they get from the hosting companies when they refer sales. iPage hosting as a affiliate program that you can gain money from, just like most hosting companies, which is why there are so many "reviews" about hosting companies. They simply rate the highest paying companies the best to gain a bigger commission.
This is the most un-biased review I could find, but it's pretty good. http://www.consumer-rankings.com/hos...ew.aspx?li=550

Thanks - good to know. I've come to realize that a lot of these hosting companies are just "sister" companies. I think I'm going to forget about going with a "cheap" hosting service like iPage and move to a well-known host like inMotion Hosting or GoDaddy. Or just stick with Webs.

I don't think it is wise to purchase the hosting service of iPage. According to what I know, its hosting service is not stable and you may find it difficult to enjoy a 99.9% uptime service.
There are many hosting providers and you can make your final decision following the independent reviews on these hosing review sites.

If web hosting service provider is the biggest one I suppose you understand that doesn't mean it is the best one.

Well my contract with Webs is up in June, so I have a bit longer to think about it, but I'm probably going to go with GoDaddy.

I left GoDaddy because they were too over-priced. I did lots of research and decided on iPage over JustHost. So far, I'm quite happy with iPage after having it for about a month now. Downtime is low and loading speeds of my sites are pretty good. The links in my signature are hosted with iPage. The only thing I hate is their support is not all that good and trying to figure out how to host multiple sites on the same account took some time.

I don't know about InMotion, but Godaddy's server performance isn't good either. The uptime had been good for me though.

wildbackpacker,
I would recommend giving HostGator a shot. They offer way better preformance than GoDaddy and InMotion

Intersting adsforum. Sweet I'll look into HostGator. They are a bit more expensive then I'd like, but you have to pay for good service..

Hi,
I am personally using Dreamhost. Their support is fast. However, Hostgator is also a great choice as they have positive reviews in many forums.
