How reliable are Indian providers?
Have you ever used a dedi from them?
What companies have you use to meet your hosting needs?
I know only hostcat company with nice feedbacks and need to know your opinions about them and other reliable Indian hosting companies.

So many Indian companies are available which provide excellent work to offshore clients.

There are plenty of them. On the webhostingtalk.com on the webhostdir.com I believe you will be able to find a lot of them.
But for Indian audience I believe US web hosting companies will work great

I think you will be able to find a lot of web hosting companies on the local indian forums. I assume they are in English.

What about internet speed in India? I was always wanted to go to Indian market to try the potentiality.

There are two variants to this.

1. A hosting provider based in India as a company but with a NOC or DC elsewhere, probably US or Malaysia or UK.

2. A hosting provider who have their NOC and DC in India itself.

Let us acknowledge one thing, Indians probably know more about hosting than most other people owing to all the off-shore work. Having said this, a native Indian user would rather prefer a company which has a DC in the Western Hemisphere if his website is going to cater to that audience.

If he has needs and services targetting India and the sub-continent, he is better off going with a provider who have their NOC and DC in India or atleast Asia. (The only deterrent here being the cost of real time bandwidth in India being very high).

Now about the reliability factor of "Indian Hosting Providers", I would very strongly stamp it saying none of them are fly by night operators. Most of them are here for the long run and to make it big. A typical indian hosting company would be selling hosting, domain names, website development, web-design services and also SEO services probably.

This is proof enough of them being genuine and real

I use Hiox India for hosting my website. Their service is awesome when compared to my previous hosting providers. There are many factors to be notedwhile hosting a forum. So check all your needs are fulfilled in choosing your packages.

Recently, I have heard about one of the Indian company named ESDS, in their website they says that they are much popular in India as well as in UK and US. Provides great support and services and have their own data center with redundant facilities. They also provide Dedicated Server Hosting plans. See, if they can meet your requirements. There are also other web hosting companies, but don't think they own a data center of their own.

Why do you think so? Or what makes you think so? I think oen datacenter is not guarantee that web hosting service is the best on the market.

I believe any web site hosted in US will be loaded perfectly in India.

How long has hostcat been in the hosting industry?
What is their pricing?
Overall I haver heard Indian hosting companies are reliable.

I would say rather go for US servers, because I think bandwidth and speed would really become an issue on indian servers.

I think you can expect better quality hosting services from the company if it has it's own data center in comparison to it's Resellers who will add their profit margins and might not be able to offer the kind of support you'll get from the company which has it's own data center.

You know sometimes reseller are doing much better service then web hosting company itself. And some potential customers aware about that.
