I have a web forum set up right now. It has 30 members right now but like on average how many posts a day could we have if we got 5 GB Bandwith a month.

Its hard to say, as posts will vary in size and the number of guests and bots viewing the posts will vary. You can save bandwidth in a number of ways but it depends on the forum software you are using.

I would have thought that 5GB would be fine for a forum that size.

I use to run a small community that size and it grew up to 100 members or so, It used phpbb and never went over 3 gigs.

A forum of 30 members should never use 5 gigs unless they all host images on your site and use them in every post

Matt,

It is not just about the posts but home many people are going to load your pages. What is the size of the pages loaded by users is also important.

Best Regards
Dimitar

Web hosting about people, not about gigabytes - since 2000

One of my forum sites that has ~7000 members with ~80,000 posts uses about 9-10gb/mo... That should give you a good picture of how much you can get out of 5gb.
