I friend of mine is thinking about purchasing some hosting at purplecloud.net (http://www.purplecloud.net/ ) . I personally think they are expensive for what you are getting. Anyone know anything about them, so I can pass the information on to my friend?

Sorry its a bit late - never seen this post til now, if anyone is thinking of hosting their site with Purplecloud - go for it, I host a lot of sites with them, and always use them. They are great value compared with other hosts, you pay a LOW one off fee for the whole years hosting - nothing else to worry about!!!

They also give great support, they have repaired my MySQL databases, and PHP code before no trouble within 30minutes of sending a support request. Choose PurpleCloud - trust me!!!

The prices seem alright with me. You have to bear in mind that you get what you pay for. Cheap hosts usually means more downtime and a weaker support.
