Hi,
I am planning to buy a domain for my website : removed
One thing is clear that, a cricket website needs unlimited space. Could anyone provide me support for the webhosting of the above website?
What about the Bluehost?

There is no such thing as unlimited space. I think in your situation, look into getting a shared package from the cheapest and most reputable host possible and see how much you use within the first month and adjust your package accordingly.
As for domain, I always suggest buying it from the same place you got your hosting package. That is what I always do. I currently have my VPS hosting package and domain together on the same host. It is just easier and simpler that way.

Bluehost, Hostmonster and Fastdomain are the same company. I have a Hostmonster account, and uptime in the last 12 months has been 99.92%. Quite good, and performance has been decent too. At the same time, there are better hosts out there, but there are much worse as well.

SSH No.
SMTP only if the hostname/server is going to be used for sending or receiving email.

If you are just starting the site and are not sure the requirements, it's best to start with shared hosting because it will be much more cost effective for you.
However, if you have the financial means to lease a dedicated server, then you should do so.

That really depends on your programming platform. If you design in .asp, then Windows would be your best option.
If you don't require .asp, then Linux would be ideal as it is usually less expensive than a Windows host.

Blue host offers 1 free domain for your purchases, which is a plus!
BlueHost has been widely considered as one of the (if not the best), hosting services around, besides fatcow (a new arising web hosting company based in canada).
Quality service is top notch. Now, there are no perfect hosting companies, including bluehost. So its very important for you to do your research and search for the one hosting company that can provide your need, regardless of what your need is. Each company has its strength and weaknesses.
Similar to universities, MIT may be strong in mechanical engineering, but weak in neuroscience. Harvard maybe strong in business, but weak in arts. Choosing a web hosting service is like choosing the right university that is best with the major you would want to pursue that will give you the max learning opportunities.
Choose one wisely, because you do never want to switch hosting companies, unless something major happened with your chosen one.

Ppl like to go with most popular host, and for sure they are charging you more money because they are popular, but I prefer to go with not much popular but a little old hosting company, I am very happy with my host, who is not much popular but have very good service, good support and high speed servers as well.

Unlimited space or bandwidth is marketing gimmick. I do not belive you need to accept that seriously at all.

I think that you need to chose your web host according to your needs and if you sign up for unlimited web hosting account read TOS carefully. That is recommended.

Well, going through one of the webhosting site's review, I saw that unlimited space is only offered when required....... initally only limited space.......... Their server gets slow by offering unlimited space initally...
Windows is not as much reliable as Linux.... Is this true?
