Found a company being excellently suitable for the eCommerce site of the people I work for. It is called removed and it is offering eCommerce specialized accounts with the row of attractive features.

I need to know if this company is really that worthy, so if you can s\ghare experience, give feedback or just express your professional opinions I would be pleased to hear them.

Nope.

PCI compliance is required when YOU are going process credit card data directly, if you are using a merchant processor, it is THE MERCHANT that needs PCI compliamce.

In reality you don't really need eCommerce hosting. Any typical host will likely do the same job and in many cases a better job at half the price.
If I am not mistaken, I think the eCommerce title falls into the same marketing scheme category like "green hosting" did.

I bet my lucky socks that any host even the one I am using will do the same job as an eCommerce host at probably 2/3 the price.

You better get use to wearing sandals.

If you are using a resource intensive eCommerce platform like Magento there are some benefits in using a Magento optimized hosting account.
Primarily speed and security.

Not all Shared hosting accounts are properly set up to run Magento so you need to do your homework.

If you are going to accept credit card information on your website you need to be PCI compliant, and that means having a dedicated server managed by a PCI compliant hosting company. It falls within SAQ C validation.

If the credit card details never touch your website (i.e. customer is redirected to a gateway like PayPal Standard or Google Checkout) you do not need to worry about PCI.

I think everyone is just better off using accessory sites like Paypal and Google Checkout. All payers can use credit cards to add funds and pay as well. It just keeps the costs down because there isn't a need for the proper hosting clients.
