Hi,

I'm not too familiar with setting up domain names even though I have been in this business for at least 4 years now, but my friend registered for a domain on www.cheap-domainregistration.com . He also has hosting on www.ipowerweb.com with its own domain name already, but he wants this new domain to point to the ipowerweb hosting. We've changed the nameservers to what ipowerweb has them as, it's been almost 3 days now, but the domain isn't work. Is there anything else that needs to be done besides the nameservers? Or is it something else?

Thanks.

Hello
i think what you have is one old domain and ipower hosing and one new domain...right? and you want to club the new domain to redirect to old website place...?

You can do this just by addidng redirect on the your new website cntrol panel...what you are trying to do will work only if you tell your host that you want to host this new domain too here .....and he might charge some fees for this....best way is to just add redirect in your new domain control panel it will just take one minute to do that

hope this helps
With Regards

Pointing the new domain to iPowerweb doesn't work because iPowerweb doesn't know about it. If your account supports addon or parked domains, then you must set this up first.
If your new registrar supports it, they can setup a redirect for you too.

Either you need to request Ipowerweb to rename you host-name on their hosting server or you need to create an add-on domain in your Ipowerweb's hosting control panel. These two are the only options for you. Choose one.
