According to Webhosting.info Top 4 biggest web hosting providers are American. I'm not suprised but I think most of the Top 5 hosts according Webhosting.info are know as Domain registars.

Yahoo is ranked 6th worldwide and 5th in US. But as far as we know yahoo own other businesses besides web hosting.

I think the real web hosting provider is Verio. They are ranked 12th world wide and 11th in United States. If we count not domains registered with a company but sites hosted Verio should go on higher position. What do you think?

That is true.....

Most of those are not hosts but domain registrars.

The source is Webhosting.info. They monitor the hosting market. I have already mentioned in the post that I consider only Verio as a web hosting business but not a protal, domain registar and etc.
