I recently bougt a domain name via an online webbuilder. Unfortunately the webbuilder did not meet my needs and in the end I decided to do the site myself vis notepad.

I now need to find a new web host - however, i cannot transfer the dompain name yet (since i registered it about 25 days ago and cannot transer until day 60).

I am aware that I can keep my domain name with the existing company and point the name server to the my new hweb host - however, can anyone tell me what happens to my email account. I have heard that if I do this, then my emails wont appear to come from Mail@mysite.com and instead from the nameserver (or something liek that)

Can anyone enlightem me? My problem is temporary because after 60 days i will prbably transfer everything over but I caanot wait that long to get my site up and running.

I believe you do not need to transfer your domain name at all while you are looking to change your web host

As everyone else has said just change the DNS and point it to your new host provider. If the new provider has a lower domain pricing range, after the 60 days you can consider transferring.

Another tip: Don't use Notepad. It is great for beginners but maybe you should consider a more advanced coder like Dreamweaver.
