Well i have used Fatcow.com and Dreamhost and they both were about $120 for a year and that includes registering the domain.

When I was looking for a new dedicated server Rackspace where the dearest. Once you find a decent host there is no need to move, unless you are having downtime issues. I'd never consider moving to another host just to save a little money!

The most expensive web hosting, whether it be free, shared, reseller, cloud, VPS, or semi-dedicated, is any hosting that doesn't work. After all you are paying for specific services promised by your host. If they can't provide what they advertise they are less than worthless IMO.

Different people have different concepts of "too high a price" for hosting. I've had more companies frighten me off, when I was in the market, because their prices looked too low for what they were offering, and I figured that there was some sort of catch. This was back in the days (1996-1997) before I knew a whole lot about bandwidth, resources, and how some web hosts market hosting packages to look attractive. Instinct made me take a step back.

I do not know who is the most expensive, but you can always try to go to some web hosting directories and reverse sorting by price. That would make you a higher end, if not the most expensive. Is at least a starting point.

As for now, the most expensive web hosting solution according to me is a private Cloud which involves a number of dedicated servers and licensing fee of the applications which are used due to which the overall cost of the private Cloud solution is very high.

Expensive hosting doesn't mean reliable.

it would of cz be dedicated server. The last time I checked, utilizing every hardware and upgrade, the server cost me up to around USD70,000 in Exabytes . Maybe you can check with them if they can provide you with a even more premium package.

I think that colocation is much more expensive that dedicated server hosting solution. It also depends on the resources you need.

Co-locating your server is really cheap ! most of the times is cheaper than renting a server. Even more, Buying hardware and colocating is more profitable than renting a server in the long term.

You must have a lot more money than I due to blow on dedicated and colo servers. Because neither option is cheap IMO.
