First,you should make sure that you do need a dedicated server.Then I prefer the customer service as a factor you should take into account seriously.You can search related information in forums, blogs,or other places.

Whar about CPU/RAM/HDD and other stuff?

You have written a general words, I can name hundreds of providers who match this definitions. Maybe you have some technical demands?

As said before, do you even need a dedicated server? It is quite a purchase and quite a hefty monthly bill if you don't need it. Maybe you should review your statistics and usage to see if you should consider a VPS as an alternative.

You would save a lot in the long run.

I assume you are looking just for low end dedicated server?
That would be great if you can let us know at least budget you have for this?

Totally wrong. There are cheaper alternatives out there that give more reliability and stronger feature sets. Buying into a popular name isn't always the best choice.

Look for value.

Of the MANY hosting companies I've tried over 15 years Crystal Tech has been the most stable and has great customer service.

I agree with cantletugo, just say no to Godaddy!

Too many people assume that the highest advertised host is the best to go with but in contrast, the high quality ones are the ones that don't spend all of their money on advertisement and marketing but rather spend money on improving their servers to give better service.

I never said that. I said the highest advertised ones are spending too much money on ads while neglecting money towards improving their services to stay competitive.

Rightly said. Most of the time, the hosts who spend too much money on ad pays little attention in improving other aspects. This holds good for godaddy too. There are many other cheap and reliable hosts.

I believe that you'd better choose time-tested company!
I would rather pay that few extra dollars for their reliability and competence than to find my sites down for long periods.
