Hey.
I'm looking for a host that has the following:
75 - 250MB disk space (no more than 750MB needed at the very max)
75 - 100GB Monthly bandwidth (or something like 3 - 5GB daily... Or even 'unlimited' bandwidth)
Flash Support
PHP support
Java support
1 or more MySQL databases
And preferably cPanel installed
Also, a .com domain will be purchased.

~ Just a sub-thing here... If possible, the option to pay yearly/every 2 years.

Can anyone help?
I won't be buying until around February/March time, as I'll be 16 then and will have a card to pay with...
And I also currently own the site. The domain expires in around 60 days, but I'm looking to purchase the same one

Also, if it makes the overall price cheaper, I wouldn't mind having a special deal where I have basically only what I need (So none of that Pre-installed scripts, shopping cart, phpchat rooms, and only 1 or 2 MySQL databases - if you offer lots, and only 1 or 2 subdomains, etc...)

What is your budget?

Java support will be hard to find without having to pay extra because it's very demanding on the server resources, most hosts don't have it.

I would recommend a VPS or small dedicated server. NO shared host will give you 75-100Gb of bandwidth a month and STILL be reliable. And there's no such thing as unlimited.

Yah, there's no such thingt as unlimited, hence the inverted commas. But it's basically just a ridiculously high amount.
My budget varies. My current host is myqth.co.uk which are fine, I mean... I'll stick with them if I have to, I just though I'd look around..

The Java support isn't really that important, I could live without it.
But yeah, I'm looking for a small dedicated server. I know one or two people who own small hosting companies and could offer me that, I just haven't been able to speak to them, plus I need a reliable backup plan.
Though, if there are any shared hosts who offer this, or would set aside a special deal for me, I would be very interested.

Crikey something like 3 - 5GB daily is quite a lot of bandwith.

I'd consider re-assessing your bandwith requirements or if you actually do know them from your logs then you've got a hell of a busy web site there.

I can't imagine that you are offering big downloads as your requirments for disk space are quite small. I'm assuming that there is lots of traffic right?

Take a look at our plans and if you can't find a suitable one then I can quote you on a custom plan. We support Cpanel and JSP if your require it.

BTW - You don't need a card. If you are paying anually or bi-anually you can also mail me the payment too! Just contact me before you order.

Good luck in finding your new host.

Yeah I don't need a card with most hosts provided I explain my situation... I just find it easier.
The site only gets busy when I make new movies n stuff really... The average downlaod is around 1MB.
Each visitor will usually use up about 7 - 15MB depending on how much of the site they explore. And, I am currently exposing my site to more and more people so it's gonna keep growing (hopefully)

Yep, it can be an expensive business offering downloads because of the bandwidth requirements.

Looks good BTW.

Good luck!

You could probably find a few host willing to suit your needs. The problem you may experience is a slow server or possibly server downtimes. If you are getting a lot of traffic I would suggest puttting ads on your server to make up some of the extra money it will take to host with a good company.

I would probably think with the amount of bandwidth you need that your best bet would be to get a dedicated server and not a shared hosting account.

A reasonably priced and decent provider is www.poundhost.co.uk. On the other end of the spectrum...a VERY reliable host with excellent support and quality servers is www.unitedhosting.co.uk, slightly more expensive though.

If you aren't wishing to pay those prices, i would recommend the site that hosts my forums and has been hosting me for 2 years now www.bladehost.net, competitive prices, feature packed plans and amazing service and support.
