I want a low-price web host that gives you a fast website loading time, PHP's GD library, at least 1 MySQL DB, and .htaccess support.

I don't really care about how much you can put on it (storage), since it's just s small, but much-visited website.

No other specific requirements, no, but a small budget (around $5 a month, could go up to $10).

I'd like a good amount of bandwidth, but I don't need to handle thousands of visitors at a time. And for disk space, not much, as I said the site I am hosting is small.

I think that there are many web hosts to meet all your needs, you can do a search and choose time-tested one.

I have been running with hostgator for a long time and they have worked perfect for my smal sites (for my big project i use stormondemand but then its a bit more then your buget)

I pay around $9 at hostgator, and what I like most about them is the online support. You always get in tuch with them fast if you have any problems. You also have cPanel so it's easy to manage your sites.

Most shared hosting packages fit the description you just listed. Just try out a couple and see what you can find that is affordable yet reliable. There really isn't a shortcut to this in which you can just ask for advice.

The OP should be looking for any Linux based host. Shared or VPS is up to the OP but I recommend starting out with a shared plan to see how things work out first.

Have you found it? For low price and fast host, I suggest ipage or justhost since they're really perfect hosting solutions and always selected to budget and top webhosts

Yeah, shared hosting solution will be perfect for running your web site..

disk space is not really important as you wont be using tht much actually, however, monthly data transfer might be important..MIGHT BE if I shall repeat. However, it depends on the CPU resource for the reliability. You need a higher capacity pacakge to cater the traffic.
