I have a client that for some incredibly odd reason is hosting with Yahoo .......

Anyway they want an SSL on their site, Yahoo's explanation on their SSL is beyond convoluted.

Does anyone know if they provide a conventional SSL?

I assume that the best way to know this is to contact them directly and ask them.

I believe that they will respond to your questions.. contact their support directly.

Ask your client contact them ans ask about that. They are supposed to reply him.

I think you should buy a SSL cerificate from Verisign and then forward the details to yahoo hosting support, they will install and activate it in 2-3 days.

So you purport to be or represent a hosting company and have never heard of Verisign???? Who just happen to be THE de facto provider of SSL certificates.

I believe that the comparison will show a clear picture of true companies suitable for running ecommerce web sites.

Get a SSL certificate from any good known company like verisign, Rapid SSl and let yahoo tech squad install it for your client.
