Hi There,

So here's what I'm trying to do with no luck.

I would like to take the content that is currently on my main domain:

http://www.thesorianodiaries.com/

and move it all to a sub-domain that I created:

http://www.england.thesorianodiaries.com

I tried moving all files that are in the directory over to the sub-domain folder but that doesn't really work. Any help/direction would be very greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

You need to modify your wordpress config file to reflect the new path to your website

Have you already tried to contact your Registrars support team and ask them to solve the problem?

Not only do you have to change config and functions file but also need to see if your host added www for your sub-domain as normally sub-domains are http://sub.domain.com

Its 500 Internal Server Error on your site check your database username/passwd too.

If you contact your hosting provider for assistance, they should be able to help you with this

The 500 Internal Server Error is most likely caused by a missing .htaccess file or it might be permissions on the sub domain folder.

How would a missing .htaccess cause an error.

If it isn't there the server will simply carry on without it and you won't even know.

I suppose if you are insecure and doubt - ask your web host to help you. I suppose that would be right decision and that will help you to get what you really need and save plenty of time.
