They are certainly NOT giving you it at $30/month.

AND there is no way any one can "advise" you based on "visitor count".

I suppose in this situation you need to check everything based upon on the your current statistics and usages.
Most likely your current web host will be able to work out some better solution for you.

It goes without saying that a VPS account is always better than shared hosting.
But the main thing is the company to have a deal with.
Choose it carefully.
