I consider 000WebHost as the best. This site offers the best for the buck or rather the best for no bucks, which means it’s the real deal in web hosting totally free and with high uptime, although we can pay for upgraded services if we need them but 95% of people will be just fine with the free version and of course that includes me. What about you guys?

Free hosting providers will never be better than paid hosts, at least because of the lack of responsibility. It might be better than other free hosts but would never be able to compete with established paid providers.

Agree to Travis. Being involved into the hosting world may also suppose there are much more responsibility at paid providers.

Although, if to compare only the free hosts, this provider, I think, could be named among the most popular.

Naming a host the best, what exactly do you mean? Its overall; quiality, or the offers themselves? maybe you are trying to tell this provider is the best among free hosts?

You get what you paid for.

They provide free web hosting services and paid ones and that is a kind of the marketing trick here. If user or someone else is happy with their services they might consider them as paid web hosting also.

The 000WebHost that you have mentioned may be good for you but not for every user. The free services provided by the hosting providers to its clients are usually average but not perfect and sometimes below the required standards.

The paid hosting benefits to its users in an effective manner an users can communicate to the relevant authorities the deficiencies that face in using the services and such hosting providers are also accountable for whereas it is not in the case of free hosting providers in normal practice.

There are also review sites on the web that discuss the benefits that web hosting companies have to offer. Some of these sites offer comparisons of the different hosting sites. Once you read through a few of these sites you can tell which ones have good information to offer you as you are narrowing down your choices. Free hosts are great for testing or personal sites that don't require any specific level of support or reliability. However, if your site does, you should definitely use paid hosting from a reputable provider.

I have 10 websites hosted on 000Webhost, and they're pretty fast for other free hosting I've used in the fast. The site goes down every once and a while so the company can screen the websites, but the downtime is only a day or so long at most and doesn't really disrupt things.

You couldn't host a reliable, ecommerce business website on it, but it does the job very well for small scale, quick stuff.

I am just disappointed that there are no VPS options.
I am an exclusive VPS user which is a deal breaker for me.

I agree with Travis, just like the others have said free hosting won't be better than paid ones. Paid hosting gives you full controls over your web hosting.

i consider 000webhost as the number 1 free host. only drawback with it is that they use a custom panel instead of cpanel. which is fine i guess.

x10hosting is always pretty good but i've had issues with them in the pass.
