I've had a pretty nice experience with Liquidweb. I haven't used their phone based support as I'm all the way over in Europe and I prefer not to add to my bill unnecessarily.

I suggest you go over at webhostingtalk.com and find Liquidweb's latest coupons/offers. That should save you a few bucks and give you a larger VPS.

If you give us a more specific requirement for the specifications of the VPS like space and bandwidth and etc we could give you a more specific list.

Other than that, I'd recommend you do what I did - Get to a host who does custom build packages.

What type of specs are you looking at using? Lets start there!

Try search google for reviews on both of those providers, that should help with your decision

Reviews can not be 100% true. If there are two rival hosting companies then they may post false reviews for each other. So until we use the product by our self we cannot judge it properly just by hearing from others. Now, talking about VPS hosting you may use an dedicated server of managed hosting, they not only hosts our server but also administrates and secures it. So if you want you can give it a try.

There are safeguards for those situations now a days with IP registering and email checking. Of course it is not 100% but a lot of reviews give you a good idea of what the host is all about.

It seems to me you may try a VPS account from happy-hosting, they are cheap and have many resources in their plans.

Sorry to dive into a month old thread and bump, but am really after some help here. We currently run a couple of ecommerce sites that - because of using RBS Worldpay - have been put on dedicated servers so as to fulfil PCI compliance rules, but have recently been informed that this doesn't have to be the case, and to be honest our traffic in no way justifies it.

I was just wondering if anyone has any hosts they could recommend? I use DailyRazor for personal / content sites, but not sure whether I'd like to test them with commercial sites.

Does anyone have any advice they could impart? It would be gratefully received.

I think the OP has already chosen the host.

Ive used jaguarpc.com and hostgator.com before for vps, iam still with jag, but both are great

I wonder if the OP has found the company?

I would recommend searching for reviews of both companies, this will help you to compare them

Servint are unbeatable for VPS and dedicated imo...

I would suggest Hentzer or JaguarPC.I have seen a lot of good reviews about them.

To the OP: Have you found a VPS provider yet? Give us an update, I am interested to see and hear if you went with a BBB accredited place or etc.
