I have a blog with auto blogging script. the owner of my shared hosting suspended my account due to load of site. he said that your site is heavy , i have only 1000 articles on it and has 50-60 visits daily ... is he correct ?

he suggest me to buy vps ... but it is so costly ,,, not sure what to do now . please help me if any one can thanks

Try to add a cache plugin, and remove any plugins that are likely to add to your site's load.

While the blog may be small and get little traffic, perhaps the content gathering process itself is using a lot of resources?

Out of curiosity, what sort of budget do you have? Maybe you would be best off on a semi-dedicated hosting plan

"semi-dedicated" and VPS are one and the same thing, It's just marketing speak.

"semi" is from the latin for half, which should mean that only TWO virtual machines are created on the same hardware. However this is rarely the case and the server may be split into four or six VMs, yet still described as "semi-dedicated".

Most "semi-dedicated" accounts I've seen are actually shared hosting accounts, with a limit on the number of accounts placed per server (usually tens of them). They're meant to be "shared hosting on steroids" or something like that.

50-60 visits daily got you suspended? I think the issue is with the host then. You clearly don't need a VPS yet and a shared plan should suffice.

You may try cheap VPS deals from hostgator or happy-hosting or b2vps.
Check out their plans and you will find the right VPS account for your needs.

The issue with those big name companies is that they don't have custom plans. You are forced into their plans which cost a lot more for features you'll never use.

for such amount of visitors I think that shared hosting will be enough, why pay more?
