If a cheap/reliable host is needed and if you don't expect heaps on traffic i'd register with hostgator baby package.$10 per month is pretty cheap I agree.

godaddy always has some discounts, example 3 moths hosting for 1,99$...but from my experience hostgator is better solution

I think hostgator is the best choice, godaddy.com is also providing good service.

1. Don't fall for the "unlimited" hosting package. Nothing is unlimited.
2. Keep your domain name registered "separately" from your host.
3. Godaddy supports SOPA & changed their mind at the last minute to not support because of customer backlash - IMO they still support it. Register somewhere else.
4.cheap is not always best.

Godaddy supported SOPA until they got backlash from Reddit. I would advise against hosting with them, or even registering a domain name with them.

i will recomand you bungyhost.com for a cheap host its just 5$ per year.
i will recomand you hostgator.com for a best host it cost 3,96 per month.

$10 a month is not cheap. I don't know if some people who posted that have money trees where they grow money or what but $10 is on the high end.

I paid $2 a month for shared and got a free domain so THAT is cheap.

I'd agree - budget plans would be in the $2-$4 range

there are good and cheap shared web hosting out there. just because their price plans are cheap does not mean they are not reliable. i would look at what they have to offer in their plans. if they offer a lot (oversell) for a dirt cheap price, i would stay away. your objective is to find a host with reasonable prices that matches what you are paying for. just keep that in mind when you are shopping for a web host

I don't see why there is even confusion on cheap and best web hosting. Both are very separate. There are only a few hosts out there that defy the correlation of cheap to best hosts.

I can express the point that there is no BEST hosting provider ever, there is only the best according to your specific needs, requirements and budget.

I think that it’s quite difficult to answer on your question. You know, first of all you should decide what exactly you need. Do you want more cheap web hosting but not so perfect or the best one but more expensive? So, at first you should decide how much money you are going to spend on web hosting.

GatoNegra.com @ 9.99 per year. I guess thats cheap. Support is via email and support ticket only and can be a bit slow. Other then that its ok.

Lol, that comes down to .83 a month. Do you REALLY expect to get quality hosting at less than $1 a month?
