Thanks to many of you who answered my question – “which is better Wordpress or Blogger ? – 95 % of you so far have said Wordpress.

When I watched the few the video tutorials on WordPress I found it to be much more complicated and involved than I was led to believe before I actually did it . I simply want to make up a blog /website on a topic and to monetize it in various ways . one of the videos that I watched said that you had to have a hosting account before you did it unlike blogger where you do not . and also mentioned something about and FTP client . basically the whole thing sounds far too, complicated but if there is anyone out there who knows of a VERY simple way to install it without having to have a web host already or anything else that the videos mentioned please let me know . OR if there is any other similar program out there that is free .

I simply went to the cpanel provided by my host and clicked a few links..
Shazam!....I had a blog.....

Wordpress is a bit more difficult to install than "Blogger" simply because you cannot install Blogger/Blogspot software on your own server, you simply go to blogger.com and signup for a Google account.

And of course you can do the same at wordpress.com and create an account there.

and thousands of other are thinking likewise.

If all you want to do is that I suggest you build a time machine and go back to sometime around 1995 - 1999 when it was that simple.

Can you recommend a good place to buy a time machine?...

I thought it was fairly simple if you have Fantastico...You just press install after you choose your subdomain and username/password.

WordPress is really easy to install even without Fantastico. it should takes less than 5 minutes to install.

5 minutes is a lot of time to install a script that was designed for the masses. In many cases, it is just a matter of entering the mySQL database information.

Most providers these days offer some sort of script installer like Softaculous or Fantastico with their hosting plans. With these, you can easily install (and perform periodic updates as needed) scripts like wordpress with the click of your mouse!

A host that has just been created already has a customer recommending them. Even assuming this is a genuine customer, with a genuine recommendation, the under 3 days of experience would take away much its value.

That's really a bad way to do advertising of your host. Personally, I won't recommend a host which is just 3 days old. You need to stay with them first for a couple of days/weeks/months to prove their worth.

It is so sad they haven't even had a month in business but to come here and drop the word "unlimited" is just criminal!
