You would really not notice the difference with a 3.2 and a 3.0, instead of the extra 200Mhz it would be more wiser to have another higher spec memory stick in or a SCSI drive

That's true but if they are charging £20 a month for a +£30 cost part how much do you think the swines would charge monthly to change an IDE disc into a scsi one

Webhosting companies are just trying to make some money. There's always companies that charge more than others. Want one-time-fee upgrades? Try LayeredTech.

I'm whining about the whole god **** industry. It sucks!

There is no justification for charging a monthly fee for a part which costs peanuts. Webhosters think that us webmeisters were a) born yesterday, b) have lucrative web businesses so should pay through the nose.

Webhosters are ripping off web businesses pure and simple. They still think that we are riding the waves of an internet boom and that anyone who wants to sell via the internet has to pay to the excess.

It doesn't have to be like that.

Why are there so few webhosters willing to offer simple pricing policies such as respectable upfront fees for servers and competitive monthly's for bandwidth and support?

That's all I'm trying to highlight so that anyone starting out doesn't get ripped off
