I thnk that you cannot reach more than 20GB Bandwith with 1 web site that is not
WAREZ or ADULT !
This hosting companies offer more bandwith like 100GB ...
For example you reach no more than 20-30GB
and you have 70GB bandwith for example that is using of other clients ...
These cheap webhosting companies are usually very slow
or does not support the uptime that they gaurantee 99.5% or higher ...

I think the normal prices for webhosting
example: 1000MB Space 50GB Bandwith 30 Multiply Domains 35MYSQL Data Bases
for 25 EURO/mo. is better, becouse you can reach this bandwith by setting more than 1 website example. 5 websites can reach 50GB Bandwith 30 Websites can reach 100GB Bandwith ... with accerpting Warez and ADULT Webhosting

So don't buy Cheap Webhosting !

Yes I will add a few,


- Bad support, if you ask many questions the person replying will simply ignore you after a number of emails, also slow to respond

- GB's of bandwidth but they suspend or remove your account if you start using a bit to much without warning

- Backup's are supposedly made, but in the end you find they never ever really made backup's

- Overloading on server, to make profit server has to have hundreds of accounts - effecting the performance

- Terms they have on there site, but have no idea what's in there (as they copied and pasted from elsewhere)

- Hundreds of GB's of bandwidth and lots of diskspace, but when you ask if you can host your site and tell them what it is about they say no

ok thats interesting to know that you think that $2.99 per mo for 100mb disk space and 3GB of B/W is overselling.... personally I think thats a reasonable price, not too high and not too low. No downtime. Now if I had been selling 20GB of space and say 100GB of B/W for $2.99 per mo then yes that would have been overselling.

Selling things too cheap means that the person thinks your not going to use the whole thing, and when you do use it all they shut you down. (Called overselling)

Another thing that people do is say "100gb bandwidth $5 a month!" to get your attention, but then you go look at it and they are only giving you 100mb of space. It is extremely difficult to use that much bandwidth with only 100mb of space. So you think your getting alot, but really you only getting about 1gb bandwidth max.

I also think that Zeeble is selling his at a good price, that is not overselling. That is actualy about the price where it is neither over-selling nor over-charging.

Yes the prices on Zeeble are normal 3-5$ for 3-5GB Bandwith 250MB Space is normal price ...
The cheapest companies give you for 5-7$ 100GB Bandwith with 1000MB Space
but they not set up Multiply Addon Domains ... ? You cannot make 100GB Bandwith with only 1 website The website will be porn or warez and they will suspend your account becouse they will not accerpt PORNO and Warez content ... becouse they have very much bandwith of cource and their servers will LAG to much ...

Those hosting companies Guarantee only 99.1% 99.3% Uptime Guarantee or the maximum is 99.5% which is worst !

Yes it is true that the support in online chat (if they have) is very stupid.
If you ask them many questions thay will say you:
"Ok Thanks, do you have more questions ..."
or "Wait pls I am very busy right now"
If you ask them something about their Terms
they will replay you
"Read the terms by (location on the terms)"

Ok, I've followed this thread and read all the posts. But something needs to be said here. Not ALL cheap web hosts are bad!!! I can't watch a thread go by while people bash cheap hosting like this with general terms.

I do not run a host, nor am i affiliated with one, I post this a long time customer/client. I have used tons of different hosts and for the past 4 years have stuck with 2. BOTH of which are under $5.

As a customer, I pay for what I get. Do I need 20 sql databases, no. Do I need 50 email accounts, no. And I certainly don't need unlimited bandwidth. Again, I pay for what I get, plain and simple.

Does that mean hosts that make claim to give unlimited everything for this kind of money are bad? No, a hosting company is a business just like my development company. I'm in it to make money, that's how business works.

If I run a server with (just for the sake of saying) 10 sites, 5 of which will never use the amount of space given, why is that a bad thing?

So, how about creating a list of pros and cons of running a host rather than bashing the business altogether?


Oh, and let me add...I am not a "noob" by any stretch of the word.

I will suggest you to listen the people who are in the hosting business
becouse we know how the cheapest hosting companies are worst !
I think that you are satisfied with your 2 companies becouse they are new !
They are not having too much clients so their servers are not lagging
and I think they have at lease 99.7-8% Uptime Guarentee which is not so worst
it is medium (99.7 99.8% Uptime)

What hosting plan do you use at the moment and what is the hosting company
that run your web sites

Well, I can only state facts from my own experience. I have had 0 problems with uptime and support. But why lump ALL cheap hosting into this catagory? This is my point, According to your statements, even if one cheap host had an uptime of 99.9 percent, everything you said would be wrong.

I'm just saying not to bash ALL cheap hosts. That seems like what this thread was meant to do. But I have to disagree.
