I was hoping if someone could help me find a webhost that offers a cheap, reliable service. I only need about 25-50mb space and bandwidth won't be that high. I was thinking of getting a domain name from netfirms and just using thier free space as they have a special offer on at the moment.

I'm building a website for my girlfriends boss (dentist) and so only need a kind of brochure site maybe with some slight interactivity such as forms. I don't really want free hosting as i've only had bad experiences with uptime.
Any help appriciated.

you should buy your domain separate to web hosting, you will find most domain registers have less features

Yeah I know but as I only need a small amount of space $5pa seems like a good deal to get a domain name w/hosting right?

Oh yes $5 per year for domain and web hosting sounds great

the only problem is i might want a bit of PHP for forms... I won't know until i speak to the client.

Looks ok but doesn't say in detail what you get might just be FTP etc. Contact them and ask

It pobably is but that might be all i need. If it's not i will give them a call and find out. I've also got another offer which sounds promosing so it doesnt really matter at the moment. Just need to find out what the guy wants. ...the waiting is rather annoying. Oh well

If you are designing a site for a business, I definately wouldn't go with free hosting.

There is certain site offering uptime statistic. and uk hosting is rather pricey for web hosting market because its charged in pound

For paid hosting of 200MB diskspace and 3GB bandwidth, I can offer it to you for $2.50/month. However, you will need to pay for half a year each time.
