Hi,

I'm new to creating websites and am looking to get a domain through godaddy and then not sure where to go from there, so i decided to come to some webmaster forums to see what you guys already having hosting would do...

I've been looking at http://www.managemyhosting.com the $4.95/year plan since this will likely fit my needs as i'm just starting right now, any thoughts?

I would not go for the $4.95/year plan, the hosting company does not make any money off that plan and I'm sure that reflects on the quality of service you will recieve. Being new, your going to want good support.

I would opt for one of their better plans, as they seem more reasonably priced.
I don't know anything about ManageMyHosting as a company so I cannot give you any advice on they're quality of service. Perhaps someone else here has some experience with them.
No matter what company you go with, make sure you do some research and be sure your signing up with a reputable company.

They openly state that they won't offer much support with the cheap plans and basically jst give you the services and let you get on with it......but i'm unsure if i'd need support anyway since I can FTP and design sites myself...

Maybe i'll try a value and then I can upgrade to a premium if I feel I need some help...

Go for it, its only $4.95 - make sure your not locked into any contracts first
