Hello Everyone,

I have a small web design company, and I want to have a hosting reseller account to pump up my profits a bit. I have been using for the last couple months Apollo Hosting, mainly because they are associated with GoDaddy, whom I love for totally crushing domain name costs.

Well, I have been having problems with them. For some reason every so often I cannot access any of my websites for a day or two (or three!). Except for my one main site, all of the othes are unnaccessable (only on my ISP, the rest of the world can access the sites). Believe me, I have tried very hard to figure out what is giong on. Apollo finally agreed with me that I should find another hosting provider. Where I live, about 80% of the internet users use my ISP, and if it is a problem with them it will never get fixed (they couldn't care less) and so I need a new solution.

Please, I am looking for something that never goes down (if possible). I would prefer a reseller account so I can put my own company branding on it.

What I do not want is a bunch of people trying to sell me their own web hosting. There are so many darn web hosting companies on the internet, seems like everyone thinks they are the best. If there was truly an unbiased source to rate webhosting companies, I would go there. Since I know of none, I am coming to this forum and pleading for honesty (although I am not sure if I will get it - after reading some of the other threads I have noticed a lot of shameless self glorification).

Please dont let me down. My clients are counting on you.

Hello Tim! First of all, welcome to WT!

Take a look at www.hostgator.com, I've heard a lot of good things about their reseller plans.

Well, depending on how much you want to pay, I highly suggest Rochen. Take a look at their Premium Reseller plans:
http://www.rochenhost.com/premium-ho...eller-hosting/

They have normal reseller plans, that don't have the extra features (which offer more space and bandwidth to make up for it). But the ClientExec alone was worth it to me.

The premium accounts are hosted on a just-launched server located @ ThePlanet in Dallas. ThePlanet rocks, if you haven't heard me say it before.

Rochen's support is great also. They have one-on-one support (through trouble tickets) and also a forum. Their staff monitors the forums, and they're usually pretty quick to answer posts.

I'm a customer, I'm not trying to make any money off of this, I just think they got a really good thing going on.

If you're looking for cheap, check out http://www.surpasshosting.com

I honestly don't know anything about their service personally, but I got a friend who can get you an extra 10GB bandwidth/month at no extra cost.

I have had a lot of luck with www.hostforweb.com. Their prices are decent, but it's their support that I really enjoy. Been with them 13+ months (VPS account), and never been down more than 10-15 minutes. And in the rare case that we are down for a few minutes they hear from me right away and the problem is always fixed.

NO HOST IS PERFECT, so do not expect 100% reliability unless you're willing to pay for extreme redundancy and failsafe measures with any host.

My company does sell hosting but it's more of a value-added service for our clients than anything and I certainly won't try to solicit you. I don't have any connection with HFW other than being their customer.

Good luck with your decision, and remember that no matter what you get what you pay for.

Firefox is a new browser, which is much safer than IE, it blocks all popups and also prevents alot of spyware and viruses from getting onto your computer from malicious websites.

I don't know about their reseller accounts but as a customer of one of their value package accounts, I could NOT be happier to have found THIS host! I tried two before this one after my first one went belly up over one weekend and took my account with it. My host is Osis Hosting and they handle linux plans ONLY altho it does mention windows plans.

If you would like to read more about them: http://tinyurl.com/a5w7a for the documentation and H-Sphere Reseller Guide for what is in this current thread.

They have a Live Chat system that I have accessed a number of times already and they have been marvelous. They come with two shopping carts but only one is free at MY level, osCommerce which I do not care for and I uploaded CubeCart on my own. They had NO obligation to support me with CubeCart but they were very helpful in getting it up and running anyway.

I've just been so pleased with this host and they are not particularly expensive...but then, you do get what you pay for. Liz
