Ever wanted to know some Ways to save on cash and have good hosting... well i have a few ways.

Use Reseller for Big Sites - If you have more then 5 sites and it's costing a small fortune to host, go for reseller Hosting, this means you can host more then one site, and maybe made a bit of cash on the site.

Use free Hosting - I Know more are rubbish, but look around and you might find some good deals.

Nothing beats good uptime and speed - For uptime and Speed go for BraveNet.Com im not kidding they have great hosting for free, but if you don't want those annoying ads you can either 'cheat the system' or buy some hosting, im hosting a site with them, they my be costly, but £35 for 100% Uptime and 100 MB/PS it a good deal.

Great the right package - Come on do you really need 2GB of space for a home page? and ask yourself do you really need that much bandwidth -If you don't need to much e-mail the site admin asking for a custom plan-.

Have a good site - No kidding what kind of web host want to be hosting a rubbish site, that’s just there using up space.

Do you research - No im not trying to waste your time, many a time i found a better host and Felt ripped off!

I hope this help's you to get the right host!

I think 'having a good site' only applies when you are going to use free hosting. You only need to have money to host a website and as long as your website is not illegal, a web host will gladly host it. Practically, 100% uptime don't exist. Scheduled downtime are always there to ensure that the server is updated with the latest security patches and updates.

About the only thing I agree with is to use a reseller account for bigger/multiple sites.

comments on your other points:
Free hosting... don't use it unless you simply don't care about your site. It will either be down alot, you'll get poor support or it may be here today and gone tomorrow

Uptime and speed... OK, I agree with the speed part. But don't expect 100% uptime. Especcially with shared hosting. There will be times where the server is taken offline due to security updates, failed hard drive or another user compromising the system.

Having a good site... Your host will not care what your site looks like, as long as they get paid.

Doing research... yea, you need to do your research, but once you find a host your happy with, support and uptime -wise, you shouldn't feel "ripped off" if you find a better deal. You can't put a price on the confidence and happiness you'll get if your current host is treating you right. Price isn't everything.
