I think it was anacrusis (I think, I could be wrong) that recommended sector link to me a while back and I did move my hosting there and they are awesome, I haven't had a single downtime event and they respond to emails with lightening speed, literally within 1-2 mins they respond saying they have made the requested changes such as installing the SSL certificate or adding the awstats. I was amazed at how fast they not just respond but actually make the changes.

Dishonest hosts tend to use the "oops, I tripped on the power cord" type of excuse to cover up a major problem. I'm not saying that's the case here, but it sure sounds like it.
They had to replug all the wires because it was knocked out. That was the only day they were down and thats it.

I'm telling you a data centre would loose thousands if they operated in this way.
