Has anyone had any experience with IXwebhosting? If so, can you tell me if they are a good company to work with?

No experience with them, but heard enough bad things about them to make me keep as far away from them as possible.

I'm not looking to work with them, myself, because I have my own but I was thinking of referring a friend who is working with a small budget and they DO have some good pricing. I couldn't offer mine cheap enough so I was looking for some alternatives for him.

i would avoid them just from looking at the site. their prices are ridiculously low and they force you to pay the year in advance. stay away from sites that sell big plans dirt cheap and then force you to pay upfront. you pay for what you get. always go with more expensive plans that charge monthly.

Their name is censored at another forum. Not a good sign.

Don't use this company. I hate them.

i just signup with them yesterday, and site get approved already.
and in process to setup my forum site there. so far so good.

the package is very attractive with free domain and IP

ummm, even i don`t like them. I feel they offer nice package and all but there service isn't good enough.

I think that you need to prove your statement. That is very loud statement

The best thing is that they offer differnt (most probably diff. class C) Ip for add on domains. So good option for cheap seo hosting.

but of late, their uptime has not been really great.

Besides the fact that they are major oversellers... they ask for high setup fees if you don't choose yearly plans... I wouldn't go with them if I were you.

All was with IX webhosting for 3 years. Since last month I moved to dreamhost.
My web host experience with IX was really good in the last 3 years. I just moved to dream host only for the following reasons.
1. I was getting lots of spam mails
2. I didn't like their web mail (they have Horde)
3. In the beginning their support time was within 10 minutes. Now a days it takes upto 24 hours.

Other than above, I have no complaints.

All in all, they are worth for the price.

Avoid them. I've heard several horror stories about them.
