I am looking for a reliable free image host. I found http://www.ekono.net and opened an account. They claim, that they give away 100MB free image space with hotlinking. So far so good... but I ain't sure if I can trust them. Any ideas on this one?

I personally wouldn't trust anything that's free. Since you are not paying them, you have no ground to stand on when something goes wrong.

Free image hosts are good for temporary storage of pictures. But don't expect to store your images for long periods of time

Six day old company. No one has had ample amount of time (3-6 months) to accurately comment on their services.

Since it's free and a startup, I wouldn't put any images of value with them.

I found their link on a blog. I got no idea about that site. And I don't know who the hell owns it. I think this forum is a good place to ask questions. That was the reason of the question.

I have my facts straight. I looked at their whois (domain name registered six days ago) and chatted to one of their online sales reps, who verified it.

It's trying to help people who may be interested in their services. I'm just pointing out things that would make me think twice before using a service if I had data of value.

Nobody is calling you a spammer, webfreak simply made the observation that this post looks like spam. A lot of people come in here and make one post "asking" about a hosting company that they themselves own, in an effort to get their name out there. Your post simply looks like one of those kind of posts.
