I'm reading the terms and conditions for a web host and here is something that came up that I didn't quite understand:

"Customer can't use more than 10 simultanious processes by and with any of Customer's applications"

What does a host mean when he says this?

Does that mean that no more than 10 people can be on your site or what?

Thanks for the help!

It's referring to the scripts you have installed and the usage of system resources of those scripts. Basically, the web host doesn't want anyone hogging all of the CPU. If you still have any doubt on what the TOS means, I'd contact the host directly.

It seems it would be very easy for the host to terminate service based on this clause. All they would have to say is that you're hogging CPU and suspend or terminate your account.

in other words, they are saying:
dont use me
you wont be happy with me
I pack me servers
I am going to ban you if I can
I want your money

Well now, a virtually all hosts have at least a vague "resources abuse" clause that allows them to suspend or terminate accounts. That doesn't make them all bad.

They basicly want you to only have a website, alot of hosts don't really want there clients running a bunch of scripts. Slows things down. And unless you pay alot they keep you on a short leesh.

That might mean that you can't have more than 10 users of one application at one time.
By this you can understand the performance of their server.

Doesn't sound good. Remember that you always get what you pay for.
Good luck.
