HAHA...I can deffinately agree with that one, but my issue is that I'm on a project that already has them so I'm stuck with them and having a problem that customer support wont help with and wondering if anyone else had the same problem.

It's for someone else and they paid a full year. But I did just figure out that I can switch my OS over to linux, so I'm in the process of that right now. Hopefully that will settle most of my issues. Once the site is done and up I can just walk away with my money and let them deal with any issues with GoDaddy.

Well, I kinda solved the problem...or at least the big one...found out I can switch my OS on fly so switched to Unix and everything better.

GoDaddy still sucks though, especially customer support.

I use them and really haven't had much to complain about.
The only issue I did have was setting up the connection string.

What is your issue?

Edit: Oops, see that you changed OS's. If there is anything you need, let me know...

Here's hoping you never have to unzip a file with a script. GoDaddy doesn't have gunzip or any unzip utility installed. I had a client on GoDaddy's linux hosting, and she wanted to use a particular photo gallery that can batch import from zip files.

I contacted godaddy, and they flat out told me that I can't use that script and they won't do anything about it!

What the heck kind of hosting just doesn't have upzip installed?

Their "control panel" (if you can even call it that) sucks big time.

And, when I last accessed their hosting, they didn't even have mod_rewrite loaded.

GoDaddy is great for domain names, terrible for hosting. Just my opinion, from past experience.

Yeah, I would deffinately never personally choose them. Bar none the worst customer service out there, and not just in hosting - in general...okay, maybe adelphia cable is worse.

Anyone heard the horror stories about godaddy shutting down all (as in every single one!) of your godaddy domains if they recieve 1 spam complaint? Adding insult to injury, they charge you $199 per domain to turn them back on!

Even if you have douple optin email proof for your newsletters, they don't care. Even if one of your newsletter subscribers forwards it to others, they don't care.

Another 800 pound gorilla ...

I have heard many many bad thing
for hosting accounts on godaddy
I never have used them for Domains, becouse
I am ENOM Domain Name Reseller.
It's impossible to support hosting account
for 2.95$ with 200GB Bandwith
this is not a true with a server with 1TB traffic
I don't see how can you pay it with 15$
I think their clients use only 1-5GB Bandwith.
